Take time to show yourself gratitude this holiday season
People who are grateful and have a positive attitude experience a different aging journey than those who don’t. Which journey are you on?
When you’re healthy on the inside, you’ll be healthier on the outside.
You’ve probably heard this before. But it’s so easy for us to get caught up in the day-to-day hectic pace of our lives, that we forget, or neglect, to take care of ourselves—especially this time of year.
So I ask you to do yourself a favor as we head into the holiday season…
Take 5 minutes for yourself every morning. Spend the time however you want—meditating, practicing deep breathing or reciting positive affirmations. Take time to express gratitude for all that you have, instead of focusing on what you don’t have. Say to yourself, “I am grateful for ….” and “I am beautiful.”
In just 5 minutes, you’ll increase your positive hormones and natural endorphines. You’ll feel more centered and grounded as you start your day. And this will have a ripple effect on your entire body. You’ll start to feel better on the inside, and you’ll look even better and healthier on the outside.

Why? Because people who are grateful and have a positive attitude age very differently than those who don’t. Their health profile is different. Their risk for disease is lower. They age more gracefully. It’s an entirely different journey.
